TRLN will host the Project ReShare Planning Summit on Wednesday, March 4, 10:00am-5:00pm and Thursday, March 5, 9:00am-1:00pm in Bostock Library at Duke University. This meeting will be an opportunity for members of the Steering Committee and invited guests to connect in-person and continue planning for the development of this community-owned interlibrary loan infrastructure.

The meeting will be held at Duke University in Bostock Library on West Campus, Rooms: Edge Workshop Room (Bostock 127, first floor). Hotel:

The Residence Inn Durham McPherson/Duke University Medical Center Area (1108 West Main St., Durham, NC, 27701) is convenient to downtown Durham as well as to transportation to campus. Free breakfast, sundry/convenience store, fitness center, and indoor pool. 

Alternatively, the King’s Daughters Inn offers the amenities of a hotel with the historical charm of a B&B. The inn is also convenient to Duke’s campus. 

Another hotel convenient to the Durham area is Springhill Suites by Marriott Durham Chapel Hill (5310 McFarland Drive, Durham, NC 27707). Kitchenette, free breakfast, and fitness center.

Airport:

The nearest airport is Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), which is about 15 miles from the meeting venue and hotel.

Transportation:

Between Residence Inn and meeting venue

The Bull City Connector is a free Durham bus line that connects downtown Durham and Duke University. The bus picks up in front of the Residence Inn and drops off within walking distance of Bostock Library: https://godurhamtransit.org/maps-schedules/godurham/bcc. Campus bus service from Duke’s East Campus (within walking distance of the hotel) to West Campus (ReShare Meeting venue) is also available: https://parking.duke.edu/buses/c1-east-west.

Between RDU Airport and Durham

Triangle Transit Bus system serves RDU and Durham. This route ends at the central Durham bus station.

Taxis and ride share services are also readily available for transportation between Durham and RDU.
